Ambiatol Review
Ambiatol sounds eerily similar to the popular prescription pill Ambien. Sometimes sleep aid companies try to confuse consumers into buying their product by confusing them into thinking they are buying a different product. We are not accusing Ambiatol of this but it does sound fishy especially considering they advertise it as “now being available without prescription” as if it was ever a prescription sleep aid. Let’s take a closer look at Ambiatol.
What’s in Ambiatol?
Ambiatol contains the following ingredients:
• Vitamin B6
• Valerian extract
• Melatonin
• Passion Flower Extract
• Hops Extract
Vitamin B6. Vitamin B6 has several great health benefits. However, fighting insomnia is not one of these. There are no credible studies supporting Vitamin B6 helping with sleep disorders.
Valerian Extract.Valerian Root is one of the most common sleeping aid ingredients on the market. How does Valerian Root work? Valerian Root contains valerenic acid. Some studies show that valerenic acid can relax the body and induce sleep. Other studies aren’t as conclusive. Ambiatol contains only 400 mg’s of valerian root. This is a few hundred milligrams short of the recommended intake. Valerian root is best when combined with other effective sleep inducing ingredients.
Melatonin. Melatonin is a body-produced hormone that helps the body with sleep. When taken at the right dosage it can help you fall asleep faster and improve the quality of sleep. However, Melatonin has also been linked to several side effects as seen below.
Passion Flower Extract. Passion Flower extract comes from tropical regions of America and has been used by Native Americans for centuries. It is a purported muscle relaxer and anxiety reducer. The evidence behind this is inconclusive and lacking.
Hops Extract. Hops extract is a sedative sleep aid ingredient. Clinical studies have been inconclusive as to its effectiveness. Some studies done on animals greatly support hops extract’s ability to help insomniacs but it must be remembered that animals and humans aren’t the same thing and results may differ. On the positive side, Ambiatol contains 200 milligrams, which is the suggested intake level.
Ambiatol contains a better than average ingredient profile. It needs a few improvements and tweaks if it wants to be considered one of the best.
Is Ambiatol safe?
Ambiatol contains a few ingredients that have been linked to side effects including:
• drowsiness
• nausea
• headaches
How much is Ambiatol?
Ambiatol can be purchased online for $49.99 plus shipping and handling. This is very expensive for what you get.
Is there a money back guarantee?
There is a 30 day “risk-free trial.” However, it probably is not as risk-free as you think. First, you get shipped out 2 bottles. If you don’t cancel within 30 days, your credit card will be charged for both of them. Second, you get automatically enrolled in a monthly auto-ship program. Yuck!
Is Ambiatol worth purchasing?
Ambiatol has a decent ingredient profile but is way too expensive.
